Trapped in Your Presence, A Daughter Poem

A poem for a daughter Upon entering the door, You greet me, With celebrity fame, Yelling without reservation, Daddy! Daddy! Seeking only a kiss Seeking only a hug, You trap me, In your presence, Oh, how I melt holding you, As I did the day you were born, You are my daughter, Heir to a throne, A princess once before, A queen forever, In my love that never wanes. © Joshua Cintron 2015

Upon entering the door,
++++you greet me with celebrity fame
++++yelling without reservation, daddy! Daddy!
Seeking only a kiss. Seeking only a hug,
++++you trap me in your presence,
Oh, how I melt holding you,
++++as I did the day you were born.
You are my daughter, heir to a throne,
++++a princess once before, a queen forever,
++++in my love that never wanes.
